Sun 11th sailing Brian's up for it - I may be if there's no hangover - anyone else?

I am surprised at Ed taking the start of my 2012 campaign so lightly that he cassifies it as 'Banter'!
Roz Spink- 03-08-2007
2012?! Surely you'll be sailing a Hawk by then Brian?
EdM- 03-08-2007
Very sharp, Roz, very sharp. They're worried about a Hawk burying itself in their committee boat whereas it's OK if he's still in a Laser.

You'll all be sorry you scoffed when I'm wearing gold and favourite for sports personality of the year!

are you going to have read a rule book by then brian? because i dont think you will get away wit "piss off" in the olympics!!!

ahh.....this converstion makes all the hard work setting this forum up worthwhile....
Just one point Brian, it's forecast to be 22knots on Sunday so you may have to do some serious pie-eating before then; not sure your new svelte girly frame will be sufficient to hold up a full rig...

And what a good time was had by all. Like lambs to the slaughter.

Two points: -
1. I take issue with the forecaster who clearly needed to up his strength forecast a touch
2. When I set out on my 2012 campaign I was aiming for the sailing events however following an extensive review of the training achieved on Sunday I am considering one or more of the long distance swimming events!

Any way of telling what the gusts were? Some clever forecasting site which has the confidence to report what actually happened? You might not have noticed some of them Brian, they tended to be happening above sea level.

Metcheck goes back 24 hours for free but too late for that now. Otherwise you need to be a premium user at £50 a year....not going to do that just to make Brian feel better about his swimming.
